Philip McCarthy
Philip looks after the reference tables and formula explanations on the site, making sure the numbers are traceable and the reasoning is visible. He treats each conversion page as something a reader should be able to verify on their own, not just take at face value.
He spends most of his effort on the less obvious unit categories — pressure, torque, viscosity, and the various energy units that don't map cleanly to one another. When a conversion factor has a specific context or only applies under certain conditions, he makes that explicit rather than burying it.
His writing is informational, not advisory. He flags where real-world application depends on factors a general conversion can't account for, and he doesn't pretend a lookup table substitutes for situational judgment.
