ConvBolt ("we", "us") operates convbolt.com. This page explains what data we handle and the choices you have. The short version: the values and units you enter are processed on your own device and never leave your browser.

Data you give the tool

All processing happens on your device. Your input is handed to the page's own script, a result comes back, and that is the whole exchange. No request leaves your machine, and no copy of what you entered exists after you close the tab.

What you type stays local

Every value you type is handled by the page itself. Once you close it there is no record of what you entered, because none was created.

How long data is kept, and how it is protected

No personal calculation data is held by us at any point, which makes retention a non-issue for the tool. The site itself is delivered over encrypted connections and kept up to date.

Under-13 users

These tools are meant for a general audience and are not aimed at children under 13. We do not knowingly gather personal information from children; if you believe a child has provided some, contact us and we will remove it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information held about you, or to object to certain processing. Because we do not store what you enter, there is usually no personal data to produce — but you are welcome to ask.

Changes to this policy

This policy is reviewed when the site changes. Any material revision is shown by the "last updated" date at the top of the page.

Technical data gathered automatically

Standard server logs are generated when your browser requests a page. They cover technical details like your IP address, browser, referring URL and timestamps, and are used only to keep the site running and secure. None of it is linked to the input you give the tool.

Cookies, ads and advertising partners

We set a cookie only to remember whether you have dismissed the cookie notice. Third-party advertising partners, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can control personalised advertising in your browser settings or through Google's ad settings. Blocking cookies does not affect the tool: the calculation requires none.

How we measure usage

Where analytics are enabled they record aggregate usage only — page views and approximate region. We do not build individual profiles, and analytics providers are never given access to what you enter into the tool.
